Security Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Install telephone, intrusion, video, access systems “start to finish” (ESI, Toshiba, Honeywell, S2, Emerge, HikVision, Spectrum, Arecont, DMP, Avigilon)

  • Installation of infrastructure cables – voice, data, intrusion, video, coax, outside plant, fiber, etc.

  • Diagnose, repair, and adjust telephone, intrusion, video, access systems and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performances and minimal down time.

  • IP experience is strongly recommended

  • Ability to up sale products on site

  • Excellent ability at multi-tasking, setting priorities and tracking issues, with minimal supervision

  • Understand job drawings and specs

  • Administrative work to include personal time sheets, work orders, purchase orders and service requests – processed daily

  • Maintain confidentiality, safety, and security standards at all times on assigned projects

  • Perform detailed site surveys for estimating purposes

  • Ability to perform cable installation for the above systems and other  voice/data installations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Pass a background check and obtain/maintain DCJS

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record

  • Punctual and available nights & weekends, if needed

  • Possess/supply personal hand tools

  • Work on ladders and lifts

  • Able to lift 50 pounds, climb, squat, bend and sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to write, speak and communicate fluently in English

  • Excellent written and oral skills

  • Great computer skills

  • Possess good interpersonal skills and outstanding customer service experience
